HARO Sports - the sport floor division of Hamberger (HARO: abbreviation for Hamberger Rosenheim) – is one of the main players in the sports flooring market worldwide. Haro has been developing and producing sports floors for over 45 years and have installed sports floors in more than 6,000 arenas world-wide.
HARO Sports is represented in over 50 countries internationally from the USA to New Zealand. Hardwood sports flooring as well as sub-constructions suitable for synthetic installations are part of the Haro line of products. All Haro flooring systems meet the demands of the German DIN 18032, part 2, as well as international standards, e.g. British standard BS 7044, NSF, Austrian norm etc. In addition to this, Haro hardwood floors are officially approved by the International Basketball Association (FIBA).
Helsinki 10 is the premier line in the Haro offering and features HARO 1/2" (12.6 mm) sport hardwood flooring consisting of a premium choice hardwood top layer supported by a top-quality plywood core layer. The 9/64" (3.6mm) hardwood top layer receives a factory applied PERMADUR® finish for superior performance and surface protection. Helsinki 10 provides both a high shock absorption greater than 62% for the athlete's safety and a ball rebound of 98%. Helsinki 10 fully meets the requirements of German DIN standard 18032-2.
The construction height of Helsinki 10 is just 1 9/16" (39.6mm) and therefore a perfect choice for refurbishment and renovations.
In Southern California Haro & SoCal Surfaces have two large notable installations which demonstrate the quality and durability of the Haro system. The American Sports Center in Anaheim, CA is an 88,000sf basketball/volleyball installation. This facility receives constant use and the Haro system has proved to be extremely durable and high performance. USC's Galen Center just installed a large practice facility with the Haro system and the school is very impressed with the capabilities and performance of the system.
